Her debut film was Down Twisted. After playing an important role in horror film Scream and Scream 2, she started to gain fame. It had an impressive commercial success and earned around 11x its original budget. It was also appreciated by film's critics. The actress reprised her character in three sequels to the film. Following her role as the main character in Friends - a hit sitcom, her popularity soared. The actress received numerous nominations and awards for her performances. The program, which quickly became an instant hit, was aired in the tv channel for 10 years. She has also played in the role of supporting in the movie Mothers and Daughters. The actress was awarded the TV Guide Award in recognition for her role in Friends, and also the Golden Derby Award in recognition of her work in the film Cougartown.
